ACDA for the Twenty-First Century

in
Sharp

ACDA enters the first decade of the new millennium at the age of 50. What are we going to become as a mature, twenty-first century choral organization? As we celebrate our 50th anniversary this year, our grand celebration includes our collective look to the future. Executive Director Tim Sharp elaborates on our 21st Century ACDA choral initiatives.

I envision a twenty-first century ACDA that utilizes the full extent of technological communication and other technologies for the benefit of our membership.

ChorTeach

ACDA announces its new e-newsletter ChorTeach-an online newsletter for choral director/music educators who are searching for answers and need fresh ideas or techniques to meet practical needs.  Articles are gleaned from state ACDA newsletters around the United States, compiled and edited by Terry Barham.  Topics vary in every issue, but over time you will see teaching points in addressing vocal pedagogy, choral techniques, vocalises for various age singers, boys’ voices, girls’ voices, choral literature, special needs singers, classroom management, technology resources, and more.
